A passenger bus has been squashed by two tankers around the Prayer City of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles (MFM) along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
The tragic accident occurred in the early hours of Saturday, April 5, 2025.
Clips from the scene show the two trailers lying side-by-side with the yellow passenger bus completely wedged between them.
Eyewitnesses can be heard saying that the passengers of the bus were still inside, even as they suggested that they must have all died as there was no movement in the vehicle.
Traffic on both sides of the expressway had ground to a complete halt at the time of filing this report as impatient drivers plunged into one-way to avoid the gridlock caused on the Ibadan-bound part of the expressway.
Some motorists who took the earth road lying parallel to the express were stuck in the muddy part of the road.
Road Safety officials, police and other law enforcement agencies were on the ground to resolve the gridlock.
The total number of casualties was not known at the time of filing this report.
