The cleric behind the Zion Prayer Movement Outreach, Prophet Ebuka Obi has denied knowing the woman who recently testified in his church, claiming she bought a house worth ₦500 million.

Obi said the woman lied against God and his ministry.

The cleric openly addressed the allegation during a church service and also in a televised reaction posted on X, formerly known as Twitter.

A woman had given a testimony in his church recently claiming to have bought a house worth N500 million.

She made the claim during a church program anchored by Prophet Ebuka Obi, and footage of the said house was displayed on the church’s multimedia system.

Weeks after the testimony, someone posted a video of his encounter with the same lady in a small shop in Enugu where she sold drinks.

The man can be seen in the video confronting the lady, asking her if she was not the one who testified about owning a N500 million mansion.

He wondered what she was doing in a roadside shop eating ‘abacha’ (a local delicacy).

He accused her of lying on the altar of God.

The lady quickly moved away from the confrontation.

In his disclaimer, Prophet Obi said he had not prior contact with the woman until she showed up saying she had a testimony to share.

She said if the woman lied, she lied against God and His altar.

In his words: “I said it last month that my name would be all over the media. I said the media would be shaking, making it look real, but it’s all fake.”

“I heard from clergymen in the East that bloggers were sponsored. Now, do I know her? Does any member know her? She came to testify, just like hundreds of others who come here daily. If the house she claimed to own is fake, then it is her who lied before God and His altar — not the ministry.”
