Mob intervenes when a mad man stabs a man who refused to give him money in Port Harcourt

An angry mob descended on a man said to be mentally challenged and beat him to a pulp for allegedly stabbing a young man in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.

The incident reportedly happened at Choba Junction axis of the East/West Road on Wednesday morning, July 7.

The victim, in his early 20s, was awaiting a shuttle to ferry him to Rumuokoro when he was accosted by the mad man.

When the pedestrian ignored the mad man, he allegedly brought out a sharp object and stabbed the pedestrian.

People in the vicinity and motorists stepped in and gave the lunatic a beating of his life as the pedestrian was rushed to the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital where he is currently receiving treatment.
