Many people are believed to have been trapped as a four-storey building collapsed along Aka Road in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State on Saturday.

The building, under construction, reportedly came crashing down around 7:30 pm on Saturday, trapping many people underneath.

Relevant government agencies were at the site soon after the occurrence and four people have been rescued and taken to the Hospital.

Residents living close to the collapsed building, alleged that substandard materials were used by the builders.

Rescue operation is this ongoing.
