<p>Operatives of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps (KAI) arrested about 127 persons on Monday, May 20, for not using pedestrian bridges in the state.</p>
<p>The Lagos State&#8217;s Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab said officials of the government carried out a sting operation and arrested some defaulters.</p>
<p>Some suspects numbering 26 who were terrorizing people using the pedestrian bridge were arrested at Oshodi.</p>
<p>The KAI operatives also arrested two miscreants, 31 street traders and 68 individuals during the operation for not using the pedestrian bridges.</p>
<p>Wahab said: “During a sting operation conducted by the operatives of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps (KAI) at about 1500hrs today, a total of 3 ladies and 23 boys terrorizing people using the pedestrian bridge at Oshodi were arrested.</p>

<p>Officials of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps, also known as Kick Against Indiscipline (KAI), have again raided and confiscated wares and perishable goods of street traders on Magodo Road.</p>
<p>They carried out the raid on Monday, October 8.</p>
<p>The state Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokubo Wahab, disclosed this on his X handle.</p>
<p>“Today, operatives from the Special Squad of #LAGESCOfficial on my directives, again, raided and confiscated wares and perishable goods of recalcitrant street traders who have returned to Shangigha road, Magodo to continue their illegal street trading activities. It should be noted that the state government&#8217;s total intolerance to street trading, hawking and displaying of wares on walkways will not be relaxed and would be enforced at all times, and violators will be duly punished.”</p>

<p>Officials of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps popularly known as Kick Against Indiscipline (KAI) routed all the road side sellers on CMD/Magodo Road, seizing goods worth thousands of Naira.</p>
<p>The clip of the raid has since gone viral since it was released on Monday, September 25, by the Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, on his X account.</p>
<p>&#8220;Let&#8217;s be fast, we are packing everything,&#8221; a voice ordered as some KAI officials hurriedly loaded the food items in their truck.&#8221;</p>
<p>The video has since stirred mixed reactions among many online. While some applauded the act, others knocked the officials, tagging their act as stealing.</p>
<p>Meanwhile, the seized items have been donated to the Remand Centre for juveniles and homes for the less privileged.</p>
