The General Overseer of The Turn of Mercy Church, Prophet Adefolusho Olasele, also known as Abbas Ajakaiye, has been picked up by the authorities for involvement in drug trafficking.

According to sources, Olasele is linked to impounded illicit drugs from Ghana.

Officials of the Nigerian Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) had earlier attempted to arrest him, but he got to know before they reached him.

He proved elusive for the officials until they finally captured him on Sunday, August 3, on the church premises in Ajah, Lagos.

NDLEA’s spokesman, Femi Babafemi, said operatives lay in wait outside the church on Sunday until the service was over and he stepped out.

Investigations revealed that Shepherd travelled to Ghana in June to avoid being arrested.

Babafemi said Olasele had been linked to two cannabis seizures totalling 200kg recovered at the Okun Ajah beach earlier in June.

A second seizure of cannabis weighing 700kg was reportedly found in his delivery van in July 2026.

Babafemi alleged that the pastor confessed to trafficking the consignments via waterways from Ghana.

Meanwhile, the NDLEA in another operation in Lagos raided an apartment at in Ikoyi.

They arrested a man named Benjamin Ukoh and recovered 32 pouches of Canadian Loud, weighing 15.63kg.

Also, in Nasarawa State, NDLEA on Saturday, August 9, recovered skunk, a strain of cannabis weighing 3,093 kilograms, from three men Okem Raphael, 33, Emmanuel Asoquo Johnny, 51; and Chekwube Odo, 25, at the New Karu area of the state.

The post General Overseer arrested for drugs in Lagos first appeared on MicroSecondNews.

It is not clear what led her to this, but, sadly no one came close to her to find out what the matter was.

The incident is believed to have taken place in Zimbabwe judging from the handle of the original poster. The video trended widely on X (formerly Twitter).

The lady has glowing skin, an expensive hairdo and a leg chain, suggesting that she is not poor.

Her footwear and clothes are scattered all over the road as she sits on the kerb wailing.

Many bystanders can be seen recording her while no effort is made to assist her.

At some point, she approaches a man who impatiently pushes her away and she lands on her bum. She continues to speak her dialect, as someone outside the camera frame taunts her.

The video has gained massive traction online and generated conversations around the increasing abuse of drugs among the younger generation, as many speculated that the lady’s antics must have been an adverse reaction to an illicit drug intake.

Some others suggested that she could be suffering from a mental health challenge that could have been triggered by disappointment or heartbreak.

A 26-year-old Nigerian man, Olusegun Babalola, has been sentenced to eight years imprisonment in the UK for dealing in drugs.

The man identified as Olusegun Babalola, was arrested on Friday, May 19, 2023, after police raided his home in Whitsed Street, Eastfield, as part of an operation into drug dealing and exploitation in Peterborough.

Following months of intelligence gathering, police evidenced Babalola had been involved in supplying crack cocaine and heroin in the city as part of a “county lines” operation.

The morning police raided his home, officers found more than £7,000 worth of heroin and crack cocaine wraps hidden within a tissue box on the kitchen worktop.

Other drug paraphernalia, including small weighing scales and multiple mobile phones – one of which was later confirmed to be the “deal line” for the county line – were found in the one-bedroom flat, along with a considerable amount of designer clothing and footwear.

He appeared at Peterborough Crown Court on Friday, September 15, where he was sentenced to eight years and three months in prison after previously admitting five counts of supplying crack cocaine, being concerned in the supply of heroin and crack cocaine, and possession with intent to supply heroin and crack cocaine.

Detective Constable Olly Campbell, who investigated, said: “Babalola had a considerable amount of designer goods in his possession, which was not consistent with the lifestyle of someone who claimed to not currently be in employment.

“Through a range of tactics, we were able to build up a significant amount of evidence to prove he not only was dealing drugs but played a leading role in the county lines set-up, meaning he had little choice but to admit the offences in court.”

Babalola is the seventh person to be sentenced as part of Operation Tsunami, a crackdown on exploitation and illegal drugs in Peterborough.

The enforcement phase, which ran throughout May, has so far seen 48 people arrested with 19 of those charged with 83 drug offences, and five people sentenced to a total of 24 years and 11 months in prison.

The post Nigerian man, Babalola, bags eight years imprisonment for drugs in the UK first appeared on MicroSecondNews.

Five Gulf Cartel assassins who kidnapped four Americans and killed two have been tied up and dumped in the street by narco bosses.

The suspects were pictured as they were arrested in the center of the border city of Matamoros on Wednesday night, March 8.

A note from their Mexican drug cartel bosses, written in Spanish, was left with the henchmen. In the note, the bosses apologised for the killings and claimed they were happy to hand over those responsible.

In a letter obtained by The Associated Press through a Tamaulipas state law enforcement source, the Scorpions faction of the Gulf cartel apologized to the residents of Matamoros where the Americans were kidnapped, the Mexican woman who died in the cartel shootout, and the four Americans and their families.

“We have decided to turn over those who were directly involved and responsible in the events, who at all times acted under their own decision-making and lack of discipline,” the letter reads, adding that those individuals had gone against the cartel’s rules, which include “respecting the life and well-being of the innocent.”

The kidnapped Americans

A photograph of five bound men face down on the pavement accompanied the letter.

A separate state security official said that five men had been found tied up inside one of the vehicles that authorities had been searching for, along with the letter.

The cousin of one of the victims said his family feels “great” knowing that Eric Williams, who was shot in the left leg, is alive but does not accept any apologies from the cartel blamed for kidnapping the Americans.

“It ain’t gonna change nothing about the suffering that we went through,” Jerry Wallace told The Associated Press on Thursday, March 9. Wallace, 62, called for the American and Mexican governments to better address cartel violence.

Last Friday, March 3, the four Americans crossed into Matamoros from Texas so that one of them could have cosmetic surgery. Around midday, they were fired on in downtown Matamoros and then loaded into a pickup truck. A Mexican woman, Areli Pablo Servando, 33, was also killed, apparently by a stray bullet.

Another friend, who remained in Brownsville, called police after being unable to reach the group that crossed the border Friday morning.

The post Mexican cartel issues apology letter for kidnapping, killing Americans first appeared on MicroSecondNews.

The billionaire drug baron suspected to be behind the N3 billion Tramadol deal involving the embattled suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abba Kyari-led Intelligence Response Team, IRT, Chief Afam Mallinson Emmanuel Ukatu has been arrested by the operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA.

DCP Kyari and four top members of his team are already facing trial for a different but similar offence at a Federal High Court in Abuja.

Director, Media & Advocacy of the agency, Femi Babafemi, who confirmed the development in a statement on Monday, said Ukatu, who is Chairman of Mallinson Group of Companies was eventually nabbed onboard a flight to Abuja at the MM2 terminal of the Lagos airport, Ikeja on Wednesday 13th April after months of evading arrest.

“Investigations reveal he has been a major importer of large consignments of different brands and high dosages of Tramadol Hydrochloride, ranging from 120mg, 200mg, 225mg and 250mg, all of which are illicit.

Ukatu owns pharmaceutical and plastic manufacturing companies, which he used as a cover to import illicit drugs into Nigeria. This is in addition to operating 103 bank accounts, most of which are used to launder money,” the statement read.

“Ukatu came under watch last year after five cartons of Tramadol 225mg were seized from his staff on 4th May 2021 when he sent them to sell to undercover police officers (unknown to Ukatu) from the then Kyari-led IRT of the Nigeria Police, Ikeja Lagos. The price of a carton of Tramadol was negotiated at N17 million each as against the then black market value that ranged between N18million and N20million per carton in Lagos.

“After the arrest of Ukatu’s staff: Pius Enidom and Sunday Ibekwete, Kyaris men were then led by the suspects to Mallinson’s warehouse at Ojota in Lagos where 197 additional Cartons of Tramadol 225mg were seized by the IRT Team. The monetary value of the 202 cartons of Tramadol seized from Mallinson in one day was over N3 billion.

“Three weeks after the seizure, the Kyaris IRT team transferred only 12 Cartons of the Tramadol with one truck and a suspect to the Lagos Command of the NDLEA, leaving 190 cartons unaccounted for.

“After over eight months of following the lead, anti-narcotic officers of the Agency eventually arrested Ukatu at the Lagos airport on 13th April 2022.”

The post NDLEA arrests alleged billionaire drug baron behind N3bn Tramadol linked to DCP Abba Kyari’s team first appeared on MicroSecondNews.

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has explained why it arrested an Instagram comedian, Sunday Martins, popularly known as DGeneral.

Spokesman of the NDLEA, Femi Babafemi, disclosed that the comedian was arrested over drug-related issues in the early hours of Wednesday, January 12.

Babafemi said the narcotics officers who acted on credible intelligence, stormed a drug joint at Orchid Estate, Lekki area of Lagos State, where three suspects were arrested with illicit drugs including 200 sachets of 225mg Tramadol and 1.5kilograms of cannabis sativa.

It was also alleged that during the operation, some persons including the suspected dealer ran away with bags suspected to contain exhibits. A trail allegedly showed they ran into the residence of the comedian.

The agency further claimed that the “video trending on social media was the moment the suspect and his friends decided to disrupt the bid to conduct a search of the house.” It was also alleged that he admitted to ownership of drugs recovered from his house.

The statement read:

“Skit maker, D-General, 3 others arrested in NDLEA’s Lagos raids

“Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), in the early hours of today, Wednesday 12th January arrested a skit maker, Sunday Joshua, popularly known on social media as De-General, following the raid of a notorious drug joint at Orchid Estate, Lekki area of Lagos state.

Acting on credible intelligence, narcotic officers stormed the drug joint in the estate, where three suspects were arrested with illicit drugs including 200 sachets of 225mg Tramadol and 1.5kilograms of cannabis sativa. In the course of the operation, some persons including the suspected dealer ran away with bags suspected to contain exhibits.

A trail showed they ran into a house located at 2B Saula Akinlolu way, Orchid estate, which is the residence of 22-year-old Sunday Joshua (aka De General). The young men started to make noise to prevent a search. The operatives introduced themselves as officers of NDLEA and submitted themselves for search before entry. This was done and a search was conducted.

The search led to the recovery of drug exhibits including cannabis sativa; Tramadol 225mg, and some paraphernalia for drug use. This was after the suspect had requested to record on video the search, which the officers out of sense of civility allowed. The video trending on social media was the moment the suspect and his friends decided to disrupt the bid to conduct a search of the house.

In his confessional statement in custody, the suspect admitted ownership of the drugs recovered from his house.”

The post Instagram comedian, DGeneral, was arrested for possession of Tramadol, weed – NDLEA first appeared on MicroSecondNews.
