The Ogun State Police Command has declared Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as “Portable,” wanted for allegedly leading a violent attack on government officials performing their lawful duties.

The incident occurred on February 5, 2025, when officials from the Ota Zonal Office of the Ogun State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development were conducting an enforcement exercise at Oke-Osa, Tigbo Ilu, Ota.

The officials, identified as TPL Onabanjo Abidemi, TPL Raymond Lateef, and TPL Ridwan Oyero Akinlesi, reportedly sustained various injuries during the assault but managed to escape and report the incident to the Ota Area Command.

According to the police, Portable, armed with a firearm and accompanied by nine associates, confronted the unarmed officials during their operation.

While nine of his accomplices were arrested at the scene, Portable evaded capture and has since been in hiding.

Multiple formal invitations were extended to him, requesting his presence at the Ogun State Police Command Headquarters in Eleweran, Abeokuta, all of which he ignored without providing any legal representation.

Consequently, the police obtained a court order declaring him wanted.

In response to the allegations, Portable took to his Instagram story to deny any wrongdoing, stating, “I didn’t kill anybody. If anything happens to me, there will be trouble. They should post the evidence of where I fought them at my bar. They are evil people, and they are lying against me.”

He further claimed to be under spiritual attack and pleaded for forgiveness from the Ogun State government.

The Ogun State Police Command has urged the public to assist in locating Portable by providing any valuable information that could lead to his immediate arrest.

They have also warned that anyone found aiding or harbouring the suspect will face legal consequences.

Portable, born on March 12, 1994, in Abeokuta, Ogun State, gained prominence in the Nigerian music scene with his hit single “Zazoo Zehh,” featuring Olamide and Poco Lee.

Despite his musical success, he has been involved in several controversies, including public disputes with business associates and allegations of violent behaviour.
