The Ogun State Police Command has initiated a search for the female companion of Inspector Haruna Mohammed whose dead body was found in a hotel room in Ogun State.

Mohammed was discovered lifeless in a hotel room at Super G Royal Hotel, located at 11 Anthony Uzum Estate, Oyeyemi Akute, Ogun State.

The late officer allegedly arrived at the hotel around 1:00 am on Saturday, February 15, 2025 in the company of a woman.

The hotel manager, Deborah Adejobi, reportedly found the room door unlocked at approximately 8:52 am.

Upon entering the room, she discovered Inspector Mohammed’s lifeless body, while his female companion was nowhere to be found.

It was gathered that the lady had approached the reception around 6:00 am to request table water.

Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, said the death had been classified as “unnatural.”

There was some challenge in establishing his identity as only a police uniform bearing the name Haruna Mohammed and the rank of Inspector was found in his bag. There was no identification card.

However, the police were able to later establish that Mohammed was an inspector serving with the Ishashi Division of the Lagos State Police Command.

The police are now looking for the woman who disappeared from the room with a view to ascertaining what happened to Inspector Mohammed overnight.

They invite members of the public with information to step forward with such information.
