‘How my sister was strangled by her church boy’- brother of lady k!lled by boyfriend in Uyo
Fiokee, the guitarist brother of Emrich Effanga who was k!lled by her boyfriend has explained how the incident happened.
Fiokee in an Instagram post said his late sister met Ndifreke Isaiah in church and accepted his proposal for a relationship.
He wrote that in due course, his sister realized that Ndifreke was not the godly man he portrayed himself as, leading her to call off the relationship.
Fiokee recounted that the people around Emrich’s shop and residence observed that her boyfriend Ndifreke Isaiah beat her twice, so they warned him to stay away from her.
He further said this did not deter Ndifreke from putting pressure on Emrich to take him back while making threats.
Fiokee narrated that on Thursday, Feb. 6, the aggrieved boyfriend went to Emrich’s house uninvited when her neighbours were not around.
There was reportedly a confrontation during which he allegedly attacked her and str@ngled her to de@th.
He then allegedly stole her phone, ATM card, and shop key before escaping from the apartment.
Ndifreke reportedly put his SIM in his late ex-girlfriend’s phone and started using it
On the evening of the day of the murd3r when Emrich did not show up in church as she had done consistently, church members got worried.
She was reportedly committed to the programme and even promoted it on her Facebook page on Wednesday, Feb. 5.
Some church members decided to check up on Emrich in her house on Friday and found that she had been k!lled.
On Friday evening, the suspected ex-boyfriend turned up in church as usual and church members alerted the security team.
Ndifreke reportedly saw them approaching and tried to escape while pretending to answer a call on his de@d girlfriend’s phone.
He was said to have been apprehended by another security group waiting for him outside the church.
He is currently said to be with the police.
