Nigerian dancer Idowu Smart Emmanuel, popularly known as Lil Smart, has been apprehended by the Nigeria Police Force on charges of criminal defamation, cyberstalking, cyberbullying, and disseminating false information against singer Naira Marley.
The arrest occurred on January 28, 2025, following allegations Lil Smart made in December 2024, where he claimed that Naira Marley and Zinoleesky had attempted to kidnap him.
He further asserted that they should be held accountable if any harm befell him.
In a statement released on Thursday, February 6, 2025, the police disclosed that Lil Smart had confessed in writing that his previous allegations were unfounded and lacked evidence.

This development follows Lil Smart’s earlier actions in December 2024, when he filed a petition against Naira Marley and Zinoleesky, alleging threats to his life.
He shared videos and photos on social media, claiming that the duo had been pursuing and threatening him.
In response, Zinoleesky denied the accusations, suggesting that Lil Smart was seeking attention.
As of now, representatives for Naira Marley have not issued an official statement regarding Lil Smart’s arrest.
