American rapper, Kanye West, has publicly criticized former CNN anchor, Don Lemon, accusing him of initiating false rumours that West and his wife, Bianca Censori, were escorted out of the 2025 Grammy Awards.

West took to Instagram, sharing an old photo of Lemon and stating, “This the goofball that started the rumour that me and my wife got kicked out the Grammies 3 decades of innovating music and they always KOONS like this.”

The controversy began when Entertainment Tonight reported that West, Censori, and an entourage of about five people attended the Grammys uninvited. The report claimed that after walking the red carpet, the couple was escorted out of the event.

Don Lemon responded to West’s accusations by posting a video on Instagram.

In the video, Lemon denied starting the rumour and clarified that he corrected the misinformation upon request from West’s team.

He criticized West for using derogatory language against him and emphasized that he had no role in spreading false information.

An insider close to the Recording Academy clarified that West, who was nominated for Best Rap Song for “Carnival,” was an invited guest and was not forcibly removed from the event.

The source added that West walked the red carpet, left of his own volition and that neither police nor Grammys security were involved.

At the event, Bianca Censori made a provocative entrance by initially arriving in a long black fur coat, which she later removed to reveal a sheer, see-through slip that left little to the imagination.

This bold fashion choice sparked widespread criticism across social media platforms, with some viewing her attire as a daring fashion statement, while others questioned why she wasn’t arrested for indecent exposure.

The incident has elicited varied reactions from the public and media personalities. Meghan McCain criticized West, describing Censori as a “hostage” and labelling West as “repugnant” and “vile.” She expressed her displeasure on social media, though her post was later deleted.

In response to the backlash, West defended his wife’s attire, calling it “art” and criticizing the Grammys as “dull & boring.” He emphasized that they never intended to stay long at the event.
