“This is what my husband did to me bcuz I wear singlet to take the children to school,” she wrote.

Nigerians online reacted with anger and called for the arrest of the man.

A few hours later, however, Mrs Kagbaranee, returned to the same Facebook with a written message which she read out, saying that she had no intention of leaving her husband.

She said her husband had no intention of hurting her.

Netizens are not buying her explanation. They believe she was under duress to make the new video.

One Obinna Tony Amaefuna  wrote:

“This lady needs help. She is probably recanting this video under duress. If this was willfully done, she wouldn’t need to be reading from a prewritten script.

For those clueless about the development, here is what happened.

Yesterday, this lady Kagbaranee Imeah had her face disfigured as she was beaten to a pulp by her husband for wearing a singlet to go for school run.

Now, a few hours later, she is seen on another video recanting her earlier stand and allegation while still nursing a swollen face and misaligned teeth.

Dear Ndi ifenemenisi, this is where your intervention is critical.  instead of hanging out on my wall or on other social media platforms looking for people to insult, why not band together and help this woman who is obviously a genuine victim of domestic violence.

This woman obviously needs help. Most times, victims of domestic violence and abuse find it difficult to leave because most of them don’t have anyone anywhere or anything to fall back on.

Also our society is most times not favourable or kind to divorcees, single mothers and people who leave their marriages generally but the after effects is more pronounced on women.

This is time to rescue this woman. Blabbing online is useless. This woman can be saved before she goes the way of the Abagana woman.

Conscientious women should rally around her, support her, Open up a GoFundMe page and raise funds for this woman (I will donate generously to any good cause that might save a life and this is obviously one such cause).

Hiding behind keypads, insulting people and talking trash on social media changes nothing.
