Two brothers of the Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Church, Paul Enenche and one other have been remanded in prison by a Magistrate Court in Wuse, Abuja.
Mr. Enenche Enenche and Alexander Enenche alongside Pastor Abraham Daniel, a former pastor at Dunamis were sent to Keffi Prison in Nasarawa State.
The trio are currently cooling their heels at the Keffi Custodial Centre of the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS).
They had earlier honoured a police invitation on Monday morning, but were not allowed to go while arrangements were made by the police to obtain a remand order against them.
According to SaharaReporters, Alex Enenche and Daniel were arrested and detained on January 7, 2025, following accusation of cyberbullying and criminal defamation against Pastor Paul Enenche.
They were released the following day (last Wednesday) after an agreement was reached to resolve the matter amicably.
Alex Enenche and Abraham Daniel were instructed to report to the Force Intelligence Department (FID) on Friday, January 10, 2025, and Monday, January 13, 2025.
However, upon their reporting to the Force Headquarters on Monday, a source told SaharaReporters that they were kept in police custody “till this evening and then brought a remand order from a Magistrate Court in Wuse Zone 6 this night to remand them in prison.”
“The name of the Magistrate and number of days etc not yet known at the moment,” said the source.
“Currently the three of them – Mr. Enenche Enenche, Alexander Enenche (brothers of Pastor Paul Enenche) and Abraham Daniel (a former Pastor at Dunamis Church) have been taken to Keffi Prison on remand.”
The source disclosed that a fundamental rights application would be filed on Tuesday.
“We will likely file fundamental right on this tomorrow,” the source said.
