Members of the Lagos State House of Assembly have impeached their Speaker, Mudashiru Obasa.
The lawmakers cited multiple statutory and financial infractions against Obasa.
The lawmakers replaced Obasa with his Deputy Lasbat Meranda.
Meranda, who represents Apapa Constituency 1, was also a former chief whip of the House.
