Lagos State Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mrs. Toke Benson-Awoyinka has been accused of slapping a man in public.

A video shared by Sahara Reporters showed the moment the encounter took place.

The commissioner can be heard ordering Neighbourhood Security guards on duty at the public facility to send everybody out, but a voice believed to be that of the man doing the recording can be heard saying that nobody would leave.

She then ordered one security man to send the man out of the facility, but when the guard approached the man and he resisted, the security man stood rooted to a spot confused as to what to do next.

She then asked the security man who was paying his salary.

When she did not get the desired response from the security man, she moved closer to the man doing the recording and threatened to smash his phone.

She tried to collect the phone from the recorder and in the process, it appears she slapped the man who later cried out to express his displeasure.

In the video, the man was heard asking for the reason she slapped him while warning her not to ever try it again.
