Popular social media activist, Martin Otse, better known as Verydarkman, has discredited a claim by a young man in a viral video that he is the younger brother of the activist.
A young man had granted an interview where claimed to be the activist’s abandoned younger brother.
VeryDarkMan (VDM), in a video, said he had no familial connection to the individual.
VDM said the young man’s claims should be ignored as they were baseless, and without any verifiable details.
He said, “I didn’t have to do this video, but based on trending issues, I have to debunk it for future sakes. He didn’t even say his name or where he is from. We might look alike or wear the things I wear, but I don’t know you.”
The activist said his real brother is Mark Vincent Otse and warned against extending any form of support to the alleged impostor.
“In case we have beef in the future and you decide to bless my brother over abandonment, my real brother is Mark Vincent Otse. Don’t go and give this guy money; I don’t know him,” he added.
The response has drawn significant attention online, with fans praising Verydarkman for addressing the matter decisively.
The young man at the center of the controversy has yet to provide additional information to support his claims.
