Nigerians online are commenting on the good manners and home training of Nigerian-British boxer, Anthony Joshua after a video of him carrying his own plates to the kitchen and interacting with the family’s private chef emerges.
The video was posted by the private chef of the boxer’s family ostensibly in Nigeria.
The brief clip shows the chef, known on TikTok as @thechefhalima, working in the kitchen as Anthony Joshua comes in to drop his plates.
He notices Chef Halima’s phone is recording and asks her if she has a SnapChat sesson on. She responds that it is only video.
The famous boxer flashes the victory sign and strikes a pose for the camera while Halima giggles.
Halima captioned the video: “POV: You are the private chef to Anthony Joshua and his family. Celebrity chef”.
Many Nigerians found the video heartwarming and complimented Joshua’s good manners.
One person wrote: “Some people are not known beyond their flat and don’t have more than N50k in their bank account. Yet they can never be seen in the kitchen when they have domestic staff. See two-time world heavyweight champion carrying his plates to the kitchen and joking with the domestic staff.”
Someone else commended his parents for giving him sound home training despite living abroad most of his adult life.
