A woman identified as Alice Emmanuel, slumped and d!ed in front of Benue Links Park in Area 3, Federal Capital Territory in Abuja on New Year’s Day around 9.25 am.
Reports indicated the woman had just alighted from a taxi in front of the park when she slumped.
The park manager reportedly called the police who rushed the woman to the Karu General Hospital where she was confirmed dead by the doctors. No mark of violence was seen on her body.
When contacted, the spokesperson of the police command, SP Josephine Adeh, who confirmed the incident, said the family of the deceased woman had been contacted. She added that her body had since been deposited in the morgue of the hospital.
