Simi Oluwaseyi, sister of Prophetess Naomi, the estranged wife of the Ooni of Ife, has provided the latest update about her sister’s arrest, citing health concerns.
It would be recalled that Naomi is currently at Agodi Correctional Centre after she was arrested and arraigned in connection with the stampede that claimed the lives of 35 children at a proposed Christmas funfair last week.
Simi took to her Instagram page to lament over the treatment being meted out to her sister who was only trying to help the less privileged.
She complained that she was held incommunicado for a will and that it took a lot of begging before the queen’s mother was allowed to see her.
She remarked that over 40 policemen were in court to guard her and the others. She complained that family members were not allowed to come close.
Simi further claimed that they had to beg before they could allow Naomi’s son to see her.
She condoled with those who lost loved ones in the stampede, but stress that the stamped happened even before Naomi got there.
She further revealed that on the third day of her sister’s detention, she collapsed during interrogation by the Department of State Services (DSS) and was rushed to the hospital.
Furthermore, Similoluwa revealed that before Naomi was arraigned in court, a doctor confirmed that her blood pressure (BP) was too high, adding that she had no access to her phone or family.
