Singer Speed Darlington spent Christmas in detention despite court order- Deji Adeyanju

Lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, has disclosed that his client, Darlington Okoye, popularly known as Speed Darlington, has remained in detention despite the bail granted him by the Federal High Court in Abuja on Monday, December 23.

It would be recalled that the singer was arrested on November 27 by the Nigerian police in Owerri, Imo State for allegedly jumping bail.

He has since been delayed. He was initially arrested in October following a petition written against him by his colleague Burna Boy.

LIB indicated that the singer was granted unconditional bail. He was required only to get the ruling to the police legal department for them to minute on it and then send it to the Force Investigation Department FID where the singer is being detained, for compliance.

The singer’s legal team has since sent the court order to the police department but is yet to get any response or compliance.
