Nigerian rapper, Darlington Okoye, popularly known as Speed Darlington, has been granted bail nearly a month after his arrest by the Nigeria Police Force in Imo State.
Speed Darlington was reportedly arrested for jumping bail after he was picked up upon a formal complaint against him by Grammy-winning artist Burna Boy.
Darlington courted trouble by insinuating that Burna Boy had s*xual relations with the embattled U.S. rapper, Sean “Diddy” Combs.
He was granted bail at the time but he reportedly failed to honour the terms of his bail.
He also reportedly resumed castigating Burna Boy on social media.
He was later picked up in Imo State upon his return from the United States of America.
He has since been in police custody and it seemed he would spend his Yuletide in incarceration until this latest development.
Renowned lawyer Stan Alieke took to his Instagram story some minutes ago to announce that the embattled musician had been granted bail.
He wrote: “Akpi has been granted bail by the court.”
