Dangote Petroleum Refinery has reduced the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), also known as petrol, to N899.50 per litre, as a way of offering relief to Nigerians during the holiday season.

The company said it was part of its efforts to ease transportation during the festive period. This comes after an earlier reduction to N970 per litre on November 24.

In a statement issued by the Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer of Dangote Group, Anthony Chiejina, on Thursday, the refinery also announced the introduction of a special holiday offer.

As part of the offer, every litre purchased with cash, grants a buyer the privilege of buying an additional litre on credit, provided he has a bank guarantee from Access Bank, First Bank, or Zenith Bank.

Chiejina revealed that the price reduction reflected the refinery’s commitment to making high-quality petroleum products accessible to Nigerians.

He said the operation of the refinery had helped the country to take a giant step in eliminating substandard fuel imports, which posed health and environmental risks in the past.

He thanked Nigerians for their support and reassured them of its dedication to easing fuel access and costs during the holiday season.
