Iconic singer, Elton John reveals he’s now blind following severe infection

Legendary musician, Elton John has made a heartbreaking disclosure about his health, announcing that he has lost his sight due to a severe infection.

The 77-year-old artiste shared the news during a charity gala performance of The Devil Wears Prada: The Musical.

Addressing the audience, Sir Elton said, “As some of you may know, I have had issues and now I have lost my sight.”

Despite the setback, he expressed his enjoyment of the performance, stating, “I haven’t been able to see the performance, but I have enjoyed listening to it.”

This revelation follows earlier reports of him losing vision in his right eye.

Sir Elton credited his husband, David Furnish, for his unwavering support during the challenging period.

“To my husband, who’s been my rock, because I haven’t been able to come to many of the previews… but I love to hear them,” he remarked.

Despite his condition, John assured fans that he is receiving treatment in hopes of improving his vision.

Married since 2014, the couple has been together for over three decades.

Furnish, a Canadian filmmaker, co-directed the documentary Elton John: Never Too Late.
