Heartbreaking video of injured woman sleeping in the bush with her baby at night after her hubby chased her out of the house
A heartbreaking video of a woman found sleeping in a bush at night with her baby tightly clamped to her bosom in Amaokpara in Anambra State, has drawn the attention of human rights activists and public-spirited individuals.
A Facebook user, Mr. Onyeka, and a friend were reportedly walking home at night when they came across the woman beside the bush path.
They approached her, shone their flashlights on her and called out to wake her up. On close inspection, they noticed that she had bloody wounds on her head and face.
She tried to get up on her feet but fell on her backside while continuing to hold tightly to her baby.
Upon interrogation, she said she was beaten and battered by her husband who sent her out of the house with their youngest baby.
Onyeka’s post attracted Harrison Gwamnishu who left his base in Asaba to go find the woman in Anambra.
He took her to the hospital for proper treatment and gave Onyeka some money to look after her.
