Deji Adeyanju begged me to make him PDP publicity secretary, but I turned him down – Wike attacks activist
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has alleged that prominent lawyer and activist Deji Adeyanju who is leading a campaign against him once begged him for a job and he turned him down.

The activists called on Bola Tinubu to intervene in the matter, as they alleged that he demolition was unconstitutional.
Reacting to the development while speaking with reporters on Wednesday, Wike dismissed Adeyanju as “jobless.”
He said he was in activism because he had nothing doing, recalling that he once came to see his support to become the Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), a request Wike said he declined.
He said, “I saw one young man, they call him Adeyanju. He is from Kogi State. This young boy came to me that he wants to be the National Publicity Secretary of the PDP and I said no.
“I said he won’t be, and he was not. I have no regret about it. He has suddenly become a civil society activist.
“He has no job and that’s why he decided to turn to a civil society activist.”
