‘Cyprus prison sweet, but nothing compares to freedom’, Happy Boys talked about their imprisonment and deportation
Beg Nigerians for forgiveness
Popular social media sensations, Happie Boys have shared some of their experiences in Cyprus and since they came back to Nigeria, even as they beg Nigerians to forgive them.
Recall that they were employed at a quick service restaurant when someone recorded their video dancing as they carried out their sentry duty at the eatery.
The matter reached the QSR management, who then sacked the boys, incurring the public’s anger.
Many argued that what the boys did was not enough to sack them.
A Port Harcourt-based pastor took an interest in them and sent them to Cyprus to continue their education.
The boys however turned against their benefactor, accusing him in a viral video that he did not send them money when due.
They also joined other people accusing the pastor of having improper relationships with some women.
They later retraced their steps and begged the pastor for forgiveness.
The boys were later arrested, detained, imprisoned and later deported back to Nigeria.
When asked about their experience in prison in Cyprus, the boys said it was great and the condition of the prison was good.
They however said that there was nothing that could be compared to having freedom to move about as one likes.
They begged Nigerians to forgive them because they did not have fan love like before any more.
The boys said in the past when they were invited to clubs, strangers would buy expensive drinks for them and they would secretly take the drinks back to the barman in exchange for cash.
They said all the perks they used to enjoy had ceased since they were dubbed ingrates.
They claimed they had changed and the public should give them another chance.
“You guys should forgive us, we know we’ve wronged you. We are sad, let’s be sincere. The love and support are not there anymore. We have changed, please forgive us,” they said.
