Edo State’s newly inaugurated Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has named Dr. Cyril Adams Oshiomhole, son of former Governor of the state, Adams Oshiomhole, as the Commissioner for Health-designate.
He made the announcement shortly after he and his Deputy, Dennis Idahosa, were sworn in on Tuesday in Benin City.
Additional key appointments included Musa Ikhilor as Secretary to the State Government and Samson Osagie, a former House of Representatives member, as Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice-designate.
The governor emphasized collaboration with the federal government and private sector to enhance development, promising support for small businesses, educational reform, and initiatives to connect unserved communities to the national power grid.
President Bola Tinubu extended congratulations, urging Okpebholo to prioritize governance reforms and empower state institutions for effective administration.
