Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has raised concerns over an alleged scheme by an oil cabal in Nigeria working in collusion with international oil companies (IOCs) to sabotage the Dangote Petroleum Refinery.

Speaking at the November 2024 Abuja Special Holy Ghost service, Adeboye urged Nigerians to seek divine intervention against those attempting to obstruct refinery operations, highlighting the impact on the nation’s economy and fuel supply.

Adeboye pointed out the recurring issues with Nigeria’s four state-owned refineries, which have reportedly consumed billions of Naira without achieving reliable output.

He expressed gratitude for Aliko Dangote’s initiative in establishing a functional refinery, attributing this project to divine inspiration.

The pastor questioned Nigeria’s dependence on fuel imports despite its oil production capabilities, asking, “Are we under a curse? We have four refineries, we poured all kinds of money into them, and none of them is working.”

He continued, “God raised someone to build a refinery that works, and now some want to stop him so they can keep importing.”

This statement follows reports that the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) recently partnered with Dangote Refinery to directly supply its members, even as Nigerians continue to buy fuel at high prices at retail outlets.
