Activist, VeryDarkMan has disclosed that money changed hands before the e-hail driver assaulted by a lawmaker, Alex Ikwechegh made a U-turn to beg the same lawmaker.

It would be recalled that the assaulted driver made a u-turn to apologise to honourable Alex Mascot Ikwechegh for provoking him to assault him (driver) in his residence recently.

Reacting to the apology video, VeryDarkMan said he was disappointed in the Bolt driver because he initiated the negotiation between him and the lawmaker.

He said he proposed N20 million cash and a car to the lawmaker as a settlement so that the matter could be forgotten, but this was negotiated down to N5 million and a car.

VeryDarkMan said he carried the victim along and also involved his lawyer, Deji Adeyanju.

He said the N5million was paid and they were waiting for the car to be provided.

The activist said he was surprised to hear from a third party that the car had been given to the man.

He said when he called him, he confirmed and said the car was not good enough and that was why he did not inform VeryDarkMan.

He said he later heard that another car was being brought from Dubai and that the victim and his brother were now a frequent guest in the house of Alex Ikwecheh.

He said this was very disappointing to him.
