A young Nigerian lady has taken to social media to lament the failure of her boyfriend to come back home to marry her three years after he relocated to Canada.
The lady, identified simply as Arike, said she was tired of waiting, but reluctant of breaking the promise she made to her man to wait for him.
According to Arike, who used the handly, @kaybee_ng on TikTok, she her boyfriend left for Canada seven months into their dating.
He has since been promising to return in December to marry her, but the wedding has yet to materialised.
Arike said her man kept postponing to the next December. She said he kept begging her to be more patient.
She wrote, “I’m not even getting any younger and all he keeps saying is ‘Give me more time’.
“My man travelled just months into dating each other.
“We were both happy and made promises to wait for each other. If only l had known. I would never have made promises to wait… I’d never make a promise to any man again in my life Because of the promise, l’m stuck!
“I’ve other men who are willing to start something serious with me, men who wants marriage but I can’t just move on. I can’t!! Every year he keeps saying he’ll come home December and when it’s time, he comes up with excuses. Now, another December is approaching and here’s what he’s to say again. Should I wait till I’m 30 FGS.”
“I know long distance relationships require lots of patience, commitment and trust. How about when the vision isnt cleared? What can one possibly do???😫,” she added.
In more posts, she complained that it was difficult to throw away four years of relationship to start over with someone she does not know if he would give her peace like her abroad-based man.
She also said there was a possibility that any new man she meets will waste her time again pushing her age further up to menopause.
