The Rotary Club of Arepo Long Bridge in Ogun State on Saturday held a free health outreach for residents of the Arepo community and its environs.
The outreach incorporated a wide range of services including malaria screening and treatment, HIV counselling and testing, diabetes screening, breast and cervical cancer screening, eye test and provision of glasses and dental care.
Residents also benefited from prostate cancer screening, deworming exercise, vitamin A supplement supplies and distribution of insecticide-treated net.
The President of Rotary Club of Arepo Longbridge, Dr. Funke Ayeni, said the project was aimed at helping community residents to take critical health steps without having to worry about cost, especially as early detection makes a world of difference in resolution of health challenges.
Also speaking, the Chair of the Rotary Family Health Days, Mr Tayo Egunjobi, expressed satisfaction at the turnout of residents for the programme.
The open field of the Journalists Estate Phase One used for the outreach was filled with residents who came with their households to take advantage of the programme.
