FirstBank has reassured its customers that its upcoming transition to a new cloud-based procurement and financial platform will not disrupt banking services.
In a statement released on Thursday, the bank clarified that this system upgrade is strictly for its supplier management platform and aims to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.
While the announcement initially raised customer concerns over potential service interruptions, FirstBank’s Group Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications, Folake Ani-Mumuney, emphasized that banking operations will continue as normal.
Ani-Mumuney addressed these concerns by noting that the update is solely focused on improving the bank’s interaction with suppliers and is unrelated to customer-facing banking systems.
This migration follows recent disruptions in other banks during similar upgrades, yet FirstBank’s assurance seeks to ease worries and maintain customer confidence in uninterrupted service delivery.
