The video of a girl carrying her injured sister on her shoulder for miles in the scorching heat after she was hit by a car has touched hearts.
The plight of the little girl, who was trying to take her sister to a refugee camp, was noticed by a photojournalist, Alaa Hamouda.
As Israel’s attacks on the Gaza Strip continue, the humanitarian crisis in the region deepens day by day.
A video shared by Alaa Hamouda shows the little girl displaced by Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip carrying her injured sister on her shoulders for kilometres.
The little girl, indicating that her sister was injured in a car accident, stated, “I am very tired. I have been carrying her on my shoulders for an hour and I can no longer walk.”
Alaa Hamouda, who captured the images, stated, “A displaced girl had walked more than two kilometres carrying her injured sister on her shoulders. I happened to see her walking alone, barefoot under the blazing sun.”
He mentioned that he helped the little girl and her sister.
Hamouda explained that he took the little girls to the Bureij Refugee Camp in his car.
