Nollywood actress, Ini Edo, has said that she has no plan to get married in December as she had led the public to believe.
It would be recalled that the star actress shared a post in September that suggested she was getting married.
The actress had shared a photo of herself dressed in a traditional Efik bridal gown, leading fans to believe she was engaged and preparing for a wedding.
Her caption, which mentioned love and encouraged her followers to believe in happiness, only fueled the gossip further.
She also mentioned that her fairy tale wedding was happening in December.
However, in a recent interview with Premium Times, Ini Edo clarified that the post was part of a promotion for her upcoming four-part series, My Fairytale Wedding, and not an engagement announcement.
When asked about her thoughts on marriage, the actress revealed, “I’m not crazy about marriage; I’m crazy about having a solid relationship. I’m not hoping, and it’s not any of my prayer points.”
Previously married to Nigerian-American businessman Philip Ehiagwina in 2008 before divorcing in 2014, Ini now prioritizes building meaningful relationships over the concept of marriage. Her comments have successfully put the marriage rumours to rest.
