Social critic Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has responded to human rights lawyer Femi Falana’s recent announcement of intention to pursue a civil defamation case against him (VDM).

The legal action stems from defamatory statements made by VDM concerning Falana and his son, musician Falz.

During the interview, aired on Channels TV on October 3, 2024, Falana denied any association with popular crossdresser Bobrisky, who VDM had linked to the accusations.

He warned that if VDM did not issue a suitable retraction and apology, civil proceedings would follow.

In a video response posted on social media, VDM dismissed the lawsuit, expressing more concern about addressing institutional corruption in public offices.

He also argued that if he is being served a legal letter, Bobrisky should receive one as well, as VDM claims the crossdresser is responsible for the initial allegations in an audio clip he released.

Bobrisky, however, maintains that the audio clip is fake and was created using AI.
