A 65-year-old McKinney resident, Mark Horak, has been arrested for tampering with evidence after a Nigerian, Olutoyosi Malomo found de@d inside his home.
According to a press release from the Collin County Sheriff’s Office, Horak was taken into custody on Tuesday in connection with the death of 31-year-old Olutoyosi Molomo, who was discovered dead at Horak’s residence in July 2024.
On July 31, 2024, a man reportedly arrived at a local emergency room, stating that there was an unconscious individual with a head injury at his home.
Deputies responded to the scene and found Molomo deceased. A subsequent investigation by the Collin County Medical Examiner’s Office revealed that Molomo had died from a gunshot wound.
Authorities allege that Horak “knowingly altered the crime scene” following Molomo’s death.
He has been charged with tampering with or fabricating physical evidence with the intent to impair a human corpse, a second-degree felony.
The investigation into the circumstances surrounding Molomo’s death remains ongoing as officials work to determine the events leading up to the fatal shooting.
