Folakemi Falana, sister to popular Nigerian musician and activist Falz, has told social media personality, VeryDarkMan (VDM) to prepare for a court case over unsubstantiated claims made against her family.
In a post shared on her social media, Folakemi Falana stated, “Seeing as you have refused to do the needful, see you in court,” addressing VDM directly.
The conflict stems from allegations made by VeryDarkMan involving Falz’s family, which Falana claims are defamatory.
In her post, she criticized the growing trend of people believing and spreading false accusations without verifying the facts. She urged Nigerians to be more discerning and not to fall prey to baseless information circulating online.
Falana further mentioned her family’s history of public service, sharing documents that demonstrated the Falana family’s commitment to justice, such as their longstanding efforts to secure presidential pardons free of charge since 2016.
She also clarified that her father, renowned human rights lawyer Femi Falana, had never met or spoken with controversial public figure Bobrisky, as claimed by VDM.
With the issue escalating, Folakemi Falana has made it clear that legal action will follow if the allegations are not retracted.
