The First Lady of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor (Mrs) Patience Umo Eno, has passed away after a brief illness.
She died peacefully in the presence of her family at a hospital away on September 26, 2024.
Her passing has been met with grief and condolences from political leaders and citizens across the state.
Governor Umo Eno and his family have expressed deep sorrow at the loss, submitting to the will of God in their time of mourning.
Flags are to be flown at half-mast in the state to honor her memory, according to an official statement from the Akwa Ibom State government.
Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, described Mrs. Eno as a “strong pillar” of Akwa Ibom, lauding her contributions to the state’s development and expressing sympathy for her family during this difficult period.
Further tributes have poured in from across the country, as her passing is considered a significant loss for both her family and the people of Akwa Ibom.
