Alice Delsie Preete Webb, a 33-year-old mother of five, has tragically passed away after undergoing a liquid Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) procedure in the United Kingdom (UK).

Webb, a beauty therapist from Gloucester, is believed to be the first person in Britain to die from this non-surgical cosmetic treatment.

The incident occurred on Monday, September 23, after the procedure, which involved injecting fillers to enhance the buttocks rather than using fat transfer, as with the traditional surgical BBL.

Unfortunately, Webb’s procedure had fatal complications, prompting concern over the safety of liquid BBLs, which have gained popularity due to their non-invasive nature.

Experts have repeatedly warned about the risks associated with both traditional and liquid BBL procedures, including embolisms and severe infections.

Despite these warnings, the demand for BBLs has surged in recent years, driven by social media trends and celebrity influence.

Following Webb’s death, two people have been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter as the investigation into the case continues.

The tragedy has ignited a renewed debate on the regulation and safety of cosmetic procedures in the UK, with many calling for stricter guidelines to prevent further loss of life.
