An Italian man, Lorenzo Carbone, aged 50, has publicly confessed to murdering his 80-year-old mother, Loretta Levrini, during a live television interview.

The incident occurred outside their family home in Spezzano di Fiorano, Italy.

Carbone admitted to strangling his mother on Pomeriggio Cinque, a popular Italian news program, leaving viewers stunned.

Carbone calmly explained to the journalists and camera crews that he had killed his mother, who had been suffering from dementia.

His chilling admission has prompted immediate investigations by local authorities, and Carbone has been taken into custody.

He said his mother got on his nerves by repeating the same things and saying hurtful words to him.

He first tried to smother her with a pillow, but then used a shoelace.

When asked why he ran away, he said he was not hiding, but just went to a nearby town where he was roaming the streets.

His mother’s body is scheduled to go for autopsy to determine the actual cause of death.

The interviewer later called the police and televised Carbone’s arrest.

The case has garnered widespread attention in Italy, with many questioning the mental state of the accused and the tragic circumstances surrounding the crime.

Further investigations are ongoing to uncover more details about the motive behind the murder.
