‘I did not pay EFCC operatives N15m to drop money laundering charges’ – Bobrisky
Controversial crossdresser, Idris Okuneye, better known as Bobrisky, has denied paying EFCC operatives N15,000,000 to drop money laundering charges against him.
In a viral audio clip, Bobrisky told a yet-to-be-identified person in a phone conversation that he paid some unnamed officials of the commission the sum of N15,000,000 (Fifteen Million Naira only) for them to drop money laundering charges against him.
The Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ola Olukoyede, on Tuesday night ordered an immediate investigation into the alleged bribery allegations
Bobrisky denied the allegation, insinuating that the audio recording was fake.
His post reads:
“My attention has been drawn to a fake voice recording circulating on the internet that I paid EFCC 15million naira, and that I was never in prison…i didn’t pay any efcc money is a very big lie. I served my term in full and i came out. Discard any false information. (Sic)”
