A Nigerian pharmacist, Musa A. Bello, has taken to X (Twitter) to lament over the failure of an online scheme, Hamster Kombat to give him his payout after diligently investing in the scheme.
Bello claimed he resigned from his job as a pharmacist in a government hospital when he reached the payment threshold and was scheduled to receive his huge payout in dollars.
He claimed Hamster Kombat only paid a fraction of the expected amount, which was nothing to write home about.
He urged Nigerians to beware of such schemes and carry out due diligence before investing in similar schemes.
He wrote:
“Dear #Hamster, I resigned from my job, where I had built a professional and unblemished career over the years, in anticipation of a huge payout from you, only to be rewarded with peanuts.”
“Where do I start now? The threats from my HOD? Or the mockery I’m facing? Hamster Kombat is indeed nothing but a scam! #HMSTRSCAM.”
“I’m devastated, emotionally traumatized, and facing an uncertain future, all due to Hamster’s selfish decision.”
“As for the people mocking me, man is not God! Insha’Allah, I’ll get another job. #hamster.”
“The person who introduced me to #Hamster said that was how Bitcoin started, that all the people who sacrificed for Bitcoin are now billionaires.”
‘I joined, not knowing #HamsterKombat was a scam. #HMSTR #HMSTRSCAM. I’ll never forgive Hamster Kombat unless it reaches 1HMSTR = 100USD.”
