Nigerian man begs for donations to offset N400m debts after he wrecked expensive cars in drag race accident (Video)

A man, Alekewumu Joshua Opeyemi, has called for financial assistance from public spirited Nigerians after he got involved in an accident while taking part in a drag race with a borrowed 2022 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, worth over N130 million.

Opeyemi is lucky to be alive when the Stingray he was driving collided with a 2015 Grand Cherokee which suddenly entered the road Opeyemi was racing on.

After the collision impact, Opeyemi’s car careered off the road and crashed into a street light pole.

The exotic car was completely wrecked and Opeyemi landed in hospital where he is currently being treated.

He attached a picture of himself undergoing MRI scan to probe if he sustained any internal injury.

In a post, he wrote:

“Yesterday evening 14th of September 2024, I watched my life flash right in front of my eyes. It all happened so fast. Still traumatised. Thought it was all over. Still cant even believe I’m alive. God really loves me and yesterday confirms all doubts…

I’m grateful to still be here . I’ll never forget.

Head janned, back hurts, face bruised. Couldn’t even sleep at night too much pain. Flash backs messing up my head already hospital bills going crazy.

Over 400 million in damages. Corvette Stingray 2022 GONE. Property damage

Won’t lie, I don’t even know where to start from. But I’m glad I’m still here. God got his plans for me.

Still hospitalised.

Imma need all the love and support I could possibly get from the masses.”

He included his account details in the post.

Many netizens are wondering why he was engaging in such a dangerous venture when he was not rich enough to take care of any eventuality that my occur.
