A storey building serving as an off-campus hostel for some students of the University of Benin in Ekosodin area of Benin City collapsed on Saturday morning, September 14, during heavy rainfall.
Unknown number of students are trapped in the collapsed building on Ekhator Street, Ekosodin, Benin City.
Some of the trapped occupants were rescued, however, many are still feared trapped.
The injured victims rescued from the rubble were rushed to the hospital for medical treatment.
A university rescue team is still searching for victims after hearing a cry for help from under the debris.
