The chairman of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) in Akure South Local Government of Ondo State, Oluwatuyi Olasoji, has passed away a few days after collapsing while queuing to buy Fuel at a petrol station.
According to a tabloid in the state, Sunshine Truth, the deceased was rushed to the Federal Medical Center in Owo after he slumped on a fuel queue and has been in the hospital since then.
He was said to have undergone surgery and passed away on Monday, September 9.
Nigerians have been battling with fuel scarcity for a while now. The scarcity has forced many to queue in fuel stations for long hours just to get the commodity.
