‘I wasn’t the first man to sleep with her – R@ndy farmer arrested for allegedly def!ling 14-year-old girl in Ogun
A 52-year-old farmer, Wasiu Sorunke, currently being detained for allegedly def!ling a 14-year-old SSS1 student in Ogun State has claimed that he was not the first man to sleep with the minor.
The suspect, who lives at Owode Egba, was arrested after the mother of the girl reported him to the police.
The spokesperson of the Ogun State Police Command, SP Omolola Odutola, who confirmed the arrest to the Nigerian Tribune, said Sorunke, who admitted to being ‘randy,’ used to patronise a food vendor living in his neighbourhood and had become a family friend.
According to the PPRO, the food vendor’s daughter used to serve the suspect whenever he went there to eat.
“She would also help her mother in the shop before going back home to do some chores and would return later to continue helping her mother,” Odutola stated.
“On a day in July, during the holiday, the girl came back to the shop and told her mother that she could not open the padlock of their room door. Thinking of what could be done, the mother asked a young man who was around to help, and the suspect, who was also there at that time, volunteered.
“Seeing him as a mature man and family friend, the girl’s mother agreed to have him follow the girl. When he could not open the padlock, he got the woman’s permission to break it so that the girl could gain access to their room. From that day, he knew where the girl was staying
“There was a day he left his phone with the girl in her mother’s shop and she was playing a game on it. She later took the phone to him in his home and he slept with her. It continued until the mother was informed.”
It was gathered that whenever Sorunke noticed the girl’s mother in her shop busy and attending to customers at the canteen, he would go to her house to meet her daughter and sleep with her to his satisfaction. At other times, he would invite the girl to his house and enjoy s3x session with her, until the lid blew open when neighbours informed the girl’s mother.
He was arrested by policemen from Owode Egba Division before he was transferred to Anti-Human Trafficking at Oke-Ilewo area, headed by SP Bunmi Asogbon.
In an interview with the publication, the suspect said that he didn’t meet the minor as a virgin.
“I ‘m a widower; I lost my wife two years ago. I had four children but I’m left with one, a daughter. She’s 20 years old, married with one child and pregnant with the second one,” he explained.
