Nigerian star footballer, Victor Osimhen has signed with Galatasaray after former Italian champions Napoli and the player agreed on a loan move to the Turkish giants on Monday night.
After his failed move to Chelsea, the 25-year-old still had a lifeline of moving out of Napoli as the Turkish transfer window closes on September 13.
On Monday night, September 2, Osimhen signed with Galatasaray on a loan deal with no buy-back clause with his salary paid in full by Galatasaray during the one year loan. His release clause will be €75m with Napoli option to extend until 2027.
He immediately flew to Turkey and was mobbed by the fans in the stadium.
This comes after the striker was disappointed to miss out on a move to Chelsea and also Al Ahli on transfer deadline day.
Napoli were said to have agreed a €70m plus €10m in bonuses with Al-Ahli, with the player receiving €40m per-season wages and crucially also an affordable release clause for a return to Europe in the near future, but the Partenopei asked for an extra €5m, which irritated the Saudis and they opted to sign Ivan Toney from Brentford instead.
Chelsea on the other hand opted to sign Jason Sancho as they couldn’t afford the huge sums to sign Osimhen.
