Man remanded in prison for beating up Lagos State govt official

A yet-to-be-identified man has been remanded in prison custody till October 29, 2024, for allegedly beating up and injuring a staff of the Lagos State Ministry of Environment and Water Resources.

Tokunbo Wahab, the state Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, disclosed this on his X handle this morning September 3.

The commissioner said the accused assaulted the official in the Berger area of the state while on duty.

“1 individual was arrested at Berger for injuring one of the civilians employed by the Lagos State Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources while on duty at Berger.

He has been remanded in prison custody and will appear again in court on 29th of October 2024.”
