The Cross River State Commissioner of Police, Augustine Grimah, has ordered the immediate arrest and investigation of a woman seen in a viral video flogging another young lady identified as Queen for allegedly sleeping with her man.
The disturbing video hit social media earlier this week and depicted a woman wielding two canes, flogging another woman, Queen, who for the most part was pleading for mercy.
The aggressor reportedly lured Queen to the hotel room before entering the same room with at least one other accomplice who was recording, to torture Queen.
The video causes outrage as many called for the arrest of the aggressor in the video.
The video received the attention of Grimah, who immediately issued the directive that the aggressor be arrested
The commissioner reportedly advised hospitality operators to take precaustions to ensure that such an incident does not happen in their premises in the future.
It was gathered that the victim had been provided with necessary medical attention and was receiving treatment in one of the hospitals in Calabar metropolis.
The police commissioner said his team would make the outcome of investigations into the incident known to members of the public.
