Nollywood actress, Aolat Ayonimofe, was today injured in a traffic robbery incident in Ogudu, Lagos.
The Yoruba movie actress announced this on her Instagram page this afternoon.
The actress said she was stuck in traffic in the Ogudu area when some robbers forcibly took her expensive necklace, leaving visible bruises on her neck.
She said the wound was fairly deep, and expressed dismay that bystanders witnessed the crime but failed to intervene.
Ayonimofe thanked God it was not more than that.
She also took the opportunity to warn the public to stay vigilant and prioritize their safety.
She wrote:
“I was robbed right now. Inside traffic along Ogudu. They went away with my expensive necklace. Bruises around my neck. And people were there watching the ugly incident,” she wrote. “My neck wound is deep though. Please be safe out there. Thank God it is not much more than this.”
